Now open: consultation on the Draft Term Sheet for the delivery of the Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) tender for South Australia and Victoria.
The Draft Term Sheet provides more detail on the specific terms that are expected to be included in the final Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement (CISA) which will be executed between the Australian Government and proponents successful under the South Australian and Victorian tender. The Term Sheet is supplementary to the CIS Consultation Paper which was open for industry consultation in August 2023.
The CIS aims to:
- encourage new investment in renewable energy
- support reliability of the electricity grid
- reduce the risk of price shocks in Australia’s changing energy market.
