The Emissions Reductions Assurance Committee is seeking feedback on the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) Beef cattle herd management method’s (the beef herd method) compliance with the Offset Intergirty Standands as set out in the Carbon Credits Act (the Act).
The beef herd method provides the rules for receiving carbon credits under the ERF for projects that reduce emissions of pasture-fed beef cattle by changing management practices of beef herds.
The periodic review will consider whether or not a method should be varied or revoked. The Committee is inviting public feedback on the beef herd method’s compliance with the Offsets Integrity Standards within the Act and any other issues participants have experienced.
Read the discussion paper for an overview of the method and submit your feedback on our Consultation hub.
Submissions are welcome until 21 October 2022. The Committee will then prepare its advice to the Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
