A report was provided to the UNESCO World Heritage Centre on how Australia is protecting and restoring the Great Barrier Reef.
It provides an update on the implementation of commitments Australia made to UNESCO in May 2023.
Together with the Queensland Government, our investment in the Reef is more than $4.7 billion from 2014 to 2030.
We will continue to work constructively with UNESCO, the World Heritage Committee and advisory bodies in the ongoing planning and management of the Reef. This will ensure the Reef remains one of the best-managed World Heritage properties.
