In 2021, an independent legislative review examining the effectiveness of Australia’s national co-regulatory framework for packaging, established under the National Environment Protection (Used Packaging Materials) Measure 2011, was completed. A copy of the review is available for download.

The Australian Government has released its response to the review with consideration of the nine recommendations made.
