About the report
The National Inventory Report fulfils Australia’s international greenhouse gas inventory reporting requirements under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and is its first report under the Paris Agreement.
The National Inventory Report 2021 contains national greenhouse gas emission estimates for the period 1989-90 to 2020-21.
This report follows Paris Agreement reporting rules. We submitted it to the UNFCCC in April 2023.
