You are invited to comment on this draft recovery plan in accordance with the provisions of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The draft National Recovery Plan for the Four Grassland Earless Dragons (Tympanocryptis spp.) of Southeast Australia has been prepared by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, and is proposed to be made under the EPBC Act.
The plan addresses the following four species:
- Tympanocryptis pinguicolla (Victorian grassland earless dragon) listed as Critically Endangered
- Tympanocryptis mccartneyi (Bathurst grassland earless dragon) listed as Critically Endangered
- Tympanocryptis lineata (Canberra grassland earless dragon) listed as Critically Endangered
- Tympanocryptis osbornei (Monaro grassland earless dragon) listed as Endangered
The Draft National Recovery Plan for the Four Grassland Earless Dragons (Tympanocryptis spp.) of Southeast Australia sets out the research and management actions necessary to stop the decline, and support the recovery of, the subspecies.
