About this document
The draft national recovery plan for the listed threatened Leadbeater’s possum (Gymnobelideus leadbeateri), has been prepared by the Australian Government Department of the Environment, and is proposed to replace the initial (1997) recovery plan which was previously adopted under the EPBC Act for this species.
The long term objective of the plan is to increase the extent, quality and connectivity of currently and prospectively suitable habitat, and its occupancy by Leadbeater’s possum, in order to maximise the probability of persistence of the species.
