About this draft policy statement
The wallum sedge frog, Litoria olongburensis is listed as a vulnerable species under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). A vulnerable species listed under the EPBC Act is a matter of national environmental significance.
These referral guidelines are intended to provide guidance to proponents on the need to refer an action to which the EPBC Act applies.
These guidelines should be read in conjunction with Significant impact guidelines 1.1 - matters of national environmental significance.
There may be other EPBC Act policy statements or referral guidelines which provide further guidance.
About the public comment process
Public comments were sought from interested parties on this draft policy statement, particularly in relation to its usability as an EPBC guidance tool. The comment period closed 7 October 2011.
