About this policy statement
The lowland native grasslands of Tasmania ecological community is listed as critically endangered under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). This brochure is designed to assist land managers, owners and occupiers as well as environmental assessment officers and consultants to identify, assess and manage the lowland native grasslands of Tasmania.
The policy statement should be read in conjunction with the listing advice, conservation advice and high-resolution map for this ecological community, as well as 1.1 significant impact guidelines - matters of national environmental significance.
There may be other EPBC Act policy statements available which provide further guidance.
