The National Landcare Program (NLP) is a key part of our commitment to natural resource management.
As a nationwide effort, the program contributes to addressing problems such as:
- vegetation loss
- soil degradation
- introduced pest weeds and animals
- water quality changes and flows
- fire regime changes.
What we are doing
We have invested over $1 billion into phase two of the NLP. This funding is for projects to June 2023.
Phase two projects focus on partnership. We promote sustainability by partnering with other governments and organisations.
