The National Landcare Program (NLP) was a key part of our commitment to natural resource management.
As a nationwide effort, the program contributed to addressing problems such as:
- vegetation loss
- soil degradation
- introduced pest weeds and animals
- water quality changes and flows
- fire regime changes.
What we did
We invested over $1 billion into Phase 2 of the NLP. This funded projects until June 2023.
Phase 2
Phase 2 projects focused on partnership. We promoted sustainability by partnering with other governments and organisations.
