By 2023, the trajectory of species targeted under the Threatened Species Strategy and other EPBC Act priority species is stabilised or improved.
The Threatened Species Strategy is a plan for how we will prioritise effort and work in partnership with the community and state and territory governments. The Strategy highlights how our approach of science, action and partnership can be used to achieve the long-term goal of reversing species’ decline and supporting the recovery of threatened species.
The Action Plan targets:
- 20 priority mammal species
- 20 priority bird species
- 30 priority plant species
