MERIT guide for RLP projects

National Landcare Program, 2020

RLP MERIT tools

The following guidance material is designed to assist RLP service providers with MERIT to develop MERI plans and meet RLP reporting obligations.

The material is specific to the RLP program. Find guidance on MERIT for environmental stewardship.

MERIT Program specific user guide - Version 5, April 2021

New MERIT users should refer to the original MERIT guide when registering to use MERIT (see chapters 2 to 3). Please consult your departmental project manager for assistance in using MERIT.

RLP MERIT ready reckoner

This document will help you to generate the correct services for your project. The ready reckoner should be referred to as you set up your MERI Plan and for project output reporting. The ready reckoner lists all the RLP project services, output measures, mapping requirements, reporting fields and options, and further comments relating to each service.

RLP MERIT outcomes reporting

Outcomes reporting will capture a comprehensive picture of RLP program progress, key lessons and opportunities for improvement. Service Providers will be required to report on project achievements against their outcome statements via two outcomes report forms available in MERIT:

  1. Outcomes Report 1 for short-term outcome statements, due by 29 July 2021
  2. Outcomes Report 2 for medium-term outcome statements, due by 28 July 2023.

Note: Projects that run for a maximum of three years only need to complete Outcomes Report 1 on the 29th of July 2021, or the 20th business day after the end date for that project work order, whichever occurs first. Projects that run over 3 years need to provide Outcomes Report 1 on the 29th of July 2021 and Outcomes Report 2 on the 28th of July 2023.

The data collected from outcomes reporting will contribute to evaluating the RLP program at its midpoint (2021) and at the end of the program (2023). The evaluation will also inform future NRM investment, policy and adaptive management.

ERIN Mapping Guide

RLP MERIT enables users to map areas by either uploading shapefiles (in a form readable by ESRI ArcGIS) or directly drawing polygons/polylines through mapping functions.

Find out about the On-ground Investment Location Data Capture, Management and Sharing Standards (mapping standard). It outlines how to best capture areas accurately.
