Businesses handling industrial chemicals must comply with the IChEMS Minimum Standards. These standards align with existing environment, health, safety, and duty of care obligations. They were designed for varying business needs and local requirements. This means that your business will likely already meet all or most of the standards.
You must also follow any guidance and requirements set by regulators for managing environmental risks. More information is available from your Commonwealth, state, or territory environmental regulator.
This chemical was scheduled based on information in an assessment statement published by the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS). The use pattern assessed by AICIS was:
- printing inks
- 3D printing
- coatings for industrial use.

Summary of risk characteristics
The chemical is of low environmental hazard. Based on the available information it is found to not be harmful to aquatic organisms. Because if its low hazard characteristics, the risk posed to the environment by the chemical, for the end use in printing inks, 3D printing and coatings for industrial use, is low. This is set out in the AICIS assessment statement.
