Kerbside collection services for food and / or garden organics vary between councils across Australia. Local governments provide garden organic (GO) or food organic and garden organic (FOGO) kerbside collection services. Some councils offer separate food organic (FO) services which can be in addition to GO and FOGO services. FO services are generally provided to multi-unit dwellings.
This interactive map shows the Local Government Areas that have implemented an organics kerbside collection service, to divert organic materials from landfill and recover valuable nutrients and carbons from these resources.
