Products made with recycled content

The Australian Government is committed to sustainable procurement and buying goods and services which use recycled content.

Browse these categories to find examples of recycled content products commercially available in Australia. The list includes what recycled content is used in making these products.

The commercial availability of listed products varies across Australia. Products may be unavailable in some locations.

Contact us at sustainable.procurement@dcceew.gov.au to suggest additional products made with recycled content.

Using recycled content in services

Catherine Caldwell, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water provides an example of how to use recycled content in services.

We can play our part by buying goods that are made with recycled materials. But I also just want to say that this isn’t confined just to goods. There are opportunities to also apply this to services where goods are consumed in the delivery of that service. So I think probably an obvious example is cleaning services. So that’s where we can stipulate that packaging of the products is using recycled packaging, and that also we can look to incorporate goods such as paper hand towels and toilet paper that are recycled.
