About the application
The Department of the Environment and Energy has received an application and draft assessment report under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 to include Nothobranchius furzeri (Turquoise Killifish) on the Live Import List for medical research purposes.
The report has been prepared against the standard terms of reference and assesses the suitability of these species for import into Australia.

Comments are invited on the draft report. It is available for public comment for 25 business days, closing on 17 August 2018.
