Community members, First Nations peoples, farmers, fishers, business owners and other interested people are invited to attend the Commonwealth Environmental Water Office webinars, which include an extended online Q&A session, held throughout the year.
The webinar series, called “A Conversation with the CEWH”, features Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, Hilton Taylor and other speakers including CEWO Local Engagement Officers, scientists working on monitoring and evaluation, and Basin stakeholders. Each webinar is the perfect opportunity for people to hear about where and when water for the environment may be used across the Basin in the year ahead and ask any questions they may have.
The next webinar will be held in the second half of 2022 with a date to be confirmed soon on this page and via CEWO social media.

7 & 8 March 2022
The Commonwealth Environmental Water Office held its second “Conversation with the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH)” in March 2022. With the recent rains, many parts of the Murray Darling Basin are in great condition with waterbirds breeding, native fish populations increasing and rivers and wetlands reconnecting.
Hosted by Siwan Lovett from the Australian River Restoration Centre, Hilton Taylor joined Local Engagement Officer, Jason Wilson, and Charles Sturt University Associate Professor, Dr Skye Wassens, to chat about the vast changes that have taken place across the Basin since the summer rains. They discussed the critical role water for the environment has continued to play during wet conditions and answered a broad range of questions from webinar attendees.
