Addendum June 2017

About the document
The Murray–Darling Basin Environmental Water Knowledge and Research (MDB EWKR) project is a 5 year (to 2018–19), $10 million project to improve the science available to support environmental water management, and thereby contribute to achieving Basin Plan objectives. MDB EWKR will undertake research aimed at better understanding the:
- links between ecological responses to flow and medium and long-term changes in condition
- impacts of threats (hydrological, aquatic and terrestrial), which may reduce or prevent the ecological improvement expected through environmental flow regimes.
This document describes the proposed research approach and activities over the life of the project from 2015-16 to 2018-19. The approach and activities have been selected to address the priority research questions identified through Phase 1 consultation and endorsed by the Project Steering Committee (PSC). The Multi-year research plan is updated annually.
This Multi-Year Research Plan (MYRP) should also be read in conjunction with the Annual Research Plans (ARPs) that provide more detail on the research activities outlined in the MYRP for each financial year.
