A report prepared by the South Australian Research and Development Institute, Aquatic Sciences, for the Commonwealth Environmental Water Office

About the document
The Commonwealth Environmental Water Office commissioned the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), Aquatic Sciences and partners to monitor the ecosystem response to environmental water delivered to the lower River Murray during the 2012-13 water year. The main findings were that Commonwealth environmental water extended the presence of Golden perch larvae through summer, decreased salinity levels in the Lower Lakes and the Coorong improving available habitat for native fish, and exported an estimated 600 000 tonnes of salt from the Basin through the Murray Mouth.
