About this document

The Water Management Plan 2023-24 informs decisions made by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder on when and where to deliver available water to benefit the environment of the Murray-Darling Basin.

The Plan can be downloaded in its entirety, or as individual chapters:

  • Chapter 1: An overview of how we will manage Commonwealth water holdings in the Murray-Darling Basin in 2023-24, covering First Nations advice, environmental priorities, water availability and delivery, as well as plans for carryover, transfers and trade.
