Working groups and forums

Last updated: 24 April 2026

We must adapt how we manage Commonwealth water for the environment to meet changing needs of communities and industries, as well as the rivers, wetlands and floodplains of the Murray–Darling Basin.

To help us do this, we rely on advice and support from local organisations, state governments and other delivery partners. Community forums are a great way to get this information.

If you have suggestions about how we should use Commonwealth water for the environment, visit Your suggestions.
