Commonwealth Environmental Water: Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement Framework

Introduction

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) Framework provides a broad overview of how the Office will approach MERI activities for the use of Commonwealth environmental water. The Framework was recently revised to ensure consistency with the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, in particular with Chapter 13 (Program for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the Basin Plan - reporting requirements).

The Office recognises the Framework will require changes over time as science evolves and our understanding improves. Feedback and suggestions about the Framework are always welcome and can be sent to ewater@environment.gov.au.

A summary of the Framework is outlined below:
