Recent highlights from the Flow-MER Program

Last updated: 28 September 2026

Science helps us understand how plants and animals respond to water for the environment. This helps us work out how to use water in the future to get the best results for the environment.

On-ground activities for the new iteration of the Flow-Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (Flow-MER) Program commenced on 1 July 2024 and operates in 10 Areas across the Murray–Darling Basin.

We publish Basin-scale and Area-scale quarterly snapshots and annual reports on our CEWH science programs.

For more information about the program, visit the Flow-MER website.
