About the document

The Monitoring, Research and Evaluation Plan (MER Plan) details the activities that will be implemented under the MER Program for the Goulburn River. The MER Plan includes:

  • A description of the areas being monitored
  • An overview of Commonwealth environmental water holdings in the Goulburn and potential environmental watering actions throughout the years
  • Information about how the monitoring will build-on the learnings from the five-year Long Term Intervention Monitoring (LTIM) project
  • Priorities for monitoring, evaluation and research activity for: physical habitat, stream metabolism, macroinvertebrates, vegetation and fish
  • An outline of potential engagement and communications activity
  • Monitoring and evaluation methods and protocols
