Murrumbidgee MER Quarterly Outcomes Newsletters and Field Reports

Last updated: 12 May 2025

As part of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) program, a key reporting requirement is to provide quarterly progress updates on the project and ecological outcomes of Commonwealth water for the environment. For the Murrumbidgee Selected Area, a quarterly newsletter, The Bidgee Bulletin, provides an update of recent monitoring activities, case studies and preliminary observations and findings.

The Murrumbidgee MER project team also provides an additional quarterly Field Report following each monitoring field trip, in supplement to The Bidgee Bulletin. This field report describes monitored site conditions and key preliminary ecological responses for monitored indicators (e.g fish, frogs, waterbirds, vegetation etc). This monitoring and management update helps to inform water managers of current conditions which contribute to real-time adaptive management of Commonwealth water for the environment.
