Border, Barwon and Namoi River Systems science publications

The Border, Barwon and Namoi Flow-MER Area-scale Project is being undertaken from 2024 to 2029. The project is led by Griffith University, in partnership with La Trobe University, NSW Fisheries and QLD Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water, and collaborating with Cultural Advisors from the Gomeroi and Bidjara First Nations.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Research plan

The Border, Barwon and Namoi Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) plan details the planned monitoring, evaluation, research and knowledge exchange activities for the five years of the program. The Border, Barwon and Namoi Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) details the planned activities for each individual financial year.

Quarterly snapshots

As part of the Flow-MER Program, providers are required to submit quarterly updates on their projects and the ecological outcomes of Commonwealth environmental water. For the Border, Barwon and Namoi Area-scale Project, the following quarterly snapshots provide an update of MER activities, case studies and early observations and findings.

Annual reports

The Border, Barwon and Namoi Area-scale Project annual reports help us understand how water for the environment maintains, protects and restores the rivers, wetlands, plants and animals in that Area. The annual reports also contribute to our legislative reporting obligations.

The 2024-25-Border, Barwon and Namoi Flow-MER Annual report is now available.
