The Carbon Farming Initiative Mapping Guidelines help project owners prepare geospatial maps to estimate greenhouse gas abatement.
They should be used to prepare geospatial mapping for:
- meeting requirements under the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF)
- reporting to the Clean Energy Regulator
They complement provisions in the:
- Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011
- Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Regulations 2011
- Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Rule 2015
- associated methodology determinations under the ERF
