About the Wildlife Trade Management Plan
The Wildlife Trade Management Plan for Protected Plants in Queensland (the management plan) has been prepared by the Department of Environment and Science consistent with requirements under section 303FO of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act). The purpose of the plan is to set out the management arrangements to support the commercial use of native plants in Queensland, where the plants have been obtained in a manner that is ecologically sustainable. The plan has been designed to meet the requirements for approval of a Wildlife Trade Management Plan under the EPBC Act.
