About this document
This report is one in a series of technical reports that make up the National Assessment of Chemicals Associated with Coal Seam Gas Extraction in Australia (the Assessment).
The Assessment identified 113 chemicals used in drilling and hydraulic fracturing for coal seam gas extraction in Australia during the period 2010 to 2012. This report describes how these 113 chemicals were initially screened to identify 44 chemicals that are known to be of low human health hazard and therefore inherently of low concern for human health.
