Workshops and roundtables

Ministerial roundtables

In January and February 2020, the then Minister for the Environment hosted a series of emergency roundtables which brought together more than 200 stakeholder experts from government, non-government, industry and business focused on immediate bushfire recovery actions.

The then Minister hosted a national roundtable in August 2020 focussed on the second phase of the Australian Government’s $200 million investment in bushfire recovery.

Regional co-design workshops

A series of stakeholder workshops were held in August and September 2020 to inform the Australian Government’s $110 million investment in the seven most vulnerable regions following the 2019–20 bushfires. Workshops included discussion of strategic on-ground actions targeting the most impacted native species, ecological communities and natural assets.
