AusBiotech is Australia's Biotechnology Industry Organisation. It is dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of the Australian biotechnology industry, by providing initiatives to drive sustainability and growth, outreach and access to markets, and representation and support for members nationally and internationally.
Australian Antarctic Division
The Australian Antarctic Division goals are to: maintain the Antarctic treaty system and enhance Australia's influence in it; protect the Antarctic environment; understand the role of Antarctica in the global climate system; and undertake scientific work of practical, economic and national significance.

Australian National Botanic Gardens
The Australian National Botanic Gardens maintains a collection of native plants from all parts of Australia. The plants are displayed for the enjoyment and education of visitors, and are used for research into plant classification and biology. A herbarium of preserved plant specimens is closely associated with the living collection.
Convention on Biological Diversity
The Convention on Biological Diversity is a comprehensive global strategy addressing the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity and the equitable distribution of the benefits of utilising genetic resources, including by appropriate access to genetic resources and appropriate transfer of technologies.

The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation is Australia's national science agency. Through research and development it works to improve the quality of life and the economic and social performance of industry sectors, and delivers innovative solutions for industry, society and the environment.
Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority
The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority advises the Australian Government on the care and development of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. It develops and implements zoning and management plans; conducts research and environmental impact assessments; and provides environmental management advice.
Queensland Biodiscovery Act 1994
Any entity wanting to collect and use native biological resources from Queensland lands or waters for biodiscovery purposes is required to obtain a collection authority from the Queensland Government's Environmental Protection Agency.

Compounds Australia allows chemists to deposit compounds into a publicly accessible central repository. Biologists are able to test these compounds against a biological target using high throughput screening.
