About these statistics

The following tables of annual statistics show:

  • the annual benefits paid under the PSO scheme both for Category 1 (re-refined) oil, and other categories of recycled oil
  • the amount of levy collected by the Australian Taxation Office (excise duty) and by Australian Border Force (customs duty). Excise duty is further broken down by tariff item
  • amounts of drawbacks and refunds repaying levy amounts to payers. A drawback applies to excisable goods that have been entered into home consumption and are subsequently exported without being altered.
